The company ŠKODA AUTO a.s., headquartered in Mladá Boleslav, is an industrial heavyweight in the Czech Republic and one of the world’s oldest car makers.

Its origins go back to 1895, when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement set up a firm paving the way for more than a century of Czech car production. ŠKODA AUTO currently employs more than 28,300 people. The ŠKODA brand has been part of the VOLKSWAGEN Group for more than 25 years. During this time, ŠKODA AUTO deliveries have increased substantially and its product portfolio has expanded significantly.

ŠKODA Production Plants

MLADÁ BOLESLAV

ŠKODA is a hive of technical development. A place where models are crafted and put into full-scale production. The city hosting the company’s production facilities is also home to its headquarters.

KVASINY

This plant is the baby in ŠKODA’s family of production facilities in the Czech Republic. This is the place where production lines build the company’s flagship – the Superb and the stylish Yeti SUV.

VRCHLABÍ

Since 2012, the Vrchlabí has been turning out highly sophisticated DSG automatic gearboxes for the entire VW Group.

PLANTS ABROAD

In recent years, manufacturing operations have been expanded particularly on emerging markets, such as China, India and Russia. The ŠKODA Citigo is made at Volkswagen’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia.
